OPEN-CELL AND CLOSED-CELL POLYURETHANE FOAMS
Polyurethane is obtained through a reaction of two components (polyol and isocyanate) at ambient temperature. The mixing of these components takes place on site, using proportioning equipment for polyurethane foam spraying. Different types of equipment are available: GRACO, GAMA and other. There are two types of polyurethane foam: open-cellpolyurethane and closed-cell polyurethane.
OPEN-CELL POLYURETHANE FOAM
Due to the open-cell structure, this foam is elastic, water vapour permeable but not air permeable.
CLOSED-CELL POLYURETHANE FOAM
Due to the high closed-cell density, the material is hard, rigid, and impermeable to moisture and water.
